The Faculty of Pharmaceutical Engineering and Technology invites applications for the following position effective September 2024/ February 2025
Job profile:
We are looking for engineering candidates with academic and professional expertise in one or more of the areas of Pharmaceutical Engineering including: Mechanical / Mechatronics/ / Electrical/ Pharmaceutical/ Chemical Engineering with both professional and academic expertise in the fields of water and air systems, chemical and process engineering, thermodynamics and EHS and Industrial automation and control.
Qualifications:
• Candidates should hold a PhD or Professional Doctorate in Engineering with extensive working experience (at least 3 years) in recognized universities or industrial fields. Preference will be given to candidates who have industrial work experience in the pharmaceutical Industry.
• Candidates should have the capability of initiating and acquiring funding for academic research.
• Successful candidates are expected to be committed to excellence in undergraduate and graduate teaching of various course units in the discipline of Pharmaceutical Engineering.
• Candidates should have experience in leading research group and supervising Master and Ph.D. students.
• Track record of collaborative research and successful supervision.
• High capacity to develop pedagogical innovations and to manage a study program.
• Excellent communication skills (oral, written, presentation).
• Proficiency in English (oral and written).
In addition, the applicant should be able to teach core and major courses in the disciplines Mechanical / Mechatronics/ Electrical/ Pharmaceutical/ Chemical Engineering tracks at the undergraduate, as well as more advanced and elective courses at the postgraduate level. Candidates are expected to be committed to excellence in undergraduate or graduate teaching. Preference will be given to candidates who conducted eminent academic research, which is clearly reflected in publications in high-quality academic journals and peer-reviewed books.
