• Direct activities of the Financial Aid Department accordance with strategic goals and objectives of GIU.
• Recruit, supervise and guide team of financial aid professionals.
• Conduct meetings parents and students to explain the financial aid & scholarships process (critical cases only).
• Reviewing financial aid applications, making final decisions.
• Managing annual financial aid budget with financial aid committee.
• Making comparisons between the financial aid cost of the current year and the previous years and submit the report to the committee.
• Plan annual timeline for financial aid applications and decisions.
• Sending a complete list of financial aid that was granted to students each semester to the Financial Affairs Department.
• Sending any adjustments that may occur during the semester to the Financial Affairs Department.
• Preparing list of financial aid removal warnings.
• Collaborate with various offices as needed including the accounts office, registrar, enrollment and admissions; IT.
• Responding to petitions from parents accordingly.
• Maintain highest level of accuracy, confidentiality, integrity, professional performance and customer service satisfaction.
Ranking Process
• Preparing ranking lists (academic & financial lists) per semester.
• Preparing cumulative ranking lists (academic & financial lists) each winter semester.
• Giving complete information to students regarding GPA calculation.
Sport Achievement
• Preparing lists of sports achievements and send them to the Financial Affairs to issue checks for the winners.
• Arranging the ceremonies and informing various departments accordingly.
Financial Aid & Scholarships
• Conducting meetings with parents and students to explain the financial aid & scholarship
• Reviewing and classifying financial aid applications according to type of financial aid.
• Classifying applications according to acceptance status according to the parameters set by the committee
• Sending applications to Financial aid committee for final decision.
• Informing students via emails.
• Preparing the financial reports and sending them to the Financial Affairs.
• Responding to petitions accordingly
